Gold is difficult to earn in WoW Forever, especially because players need money for professions, recipes, enchantments, armor kits, and the 100-gold level 40 mount. Traditional farming may not be efficient. For example, farming spiders and wolves in Duskwood produced only about 1 gold and 50 silver after one hour. Crafting can provide a better alternative while requiring very little attention. This guide covers two simple methods: an Enchanting and tailoring strategy, followed by a Blacksmithing strategy. Both methods can be completed on an alt and performed while semi-AFK. Method One: Enchanting and Strange DustThe first method requires Enchanting. If your main character does not have this profession, use an alt. Begin by buying Linen Cloth from the Auction House and crafting brown linen pants. In the example, Linen Cloth cost about 82 copper per piece, and enough materials were purchased to make 63 pairs of pants. After disenchanting the pants, the player received 26 Lesser Magic Essences and a large amount of Strange Dust. If your Enchanting skill is below 70, continue crafting the basic items until reaching that level. Afterward, craft greater magical items, which can be sold to a vendor for approximately 15 silver each. The smaller versions may only break even. Strange Dust can be sold directly on the Auction House for about 2 silver and 45 copper. However, crafting Minor Wizard Oils may create more profit. Each oil requires one Maple Seed, costing about 2 silver, and one Empty Vial, costing around 4 copper. The reported profit was approximately 3 silver per Strange Dust. The finished oils can be sold directly to a vendor, making this process easy to repeat while semi-AFK. The first test produced nearly 3 gold in about 45 minutes. Buying cloth rolls directly from the Auction House may save time, but always compare costs first. Auctionator is useful because it scans the market and shows total crafting costs. Comparing prices with buying WoW gold can also help players understand material and item values. This method can raise Enchanting to approximately 150 skill. Green items from dungeons, chests, and leveling can provide additional materials for disenchanting. Method Two: Blacksmithing Heavy Copper MacesThe second method uses Blacksmithing to craft Heavy Copper Maces. These level 11 weapons can be sold to a vendor for 6 silver or disenchanted for one or two Greater Magic Essences, making them a useful source of WoW gold. Each mace requires 12 Copper Bars, two Light Leather, and two Weak Flux. The key is controlling the Copper Bar price. Try to keep the total crafting cost below 20 silver per mace. A cost of 17 silver is ideal, while 18 or 19 silver may still be profitable. Blacksmithing can reportedly be leveled to around 120 through this process, and the recipe may become available at approximately 50 skill. The first hour produced about 5 gold. When Copper Bars and Light Leather became cheaper, the reported income increased to 5–7 gold per hour. If Copper Ore is inexpensive, smelt it yourself. Deadmines smelting pans can reduce smelting time by 25%. Mailing Warning and Final TipsA mailing bug caused full packages sent to an alt to disappear. Three letters failed to arrive, resulting in an estimated loss of 11 gold. Test the mailbox carefully and avoid sending large stacks until the problem is confirmed. Both methods combine profession leveling with low-effort income. Enchanting focuses on Strange Dust, Minor Wizard Oils, and Greater Magic Wands, while Blacksmithing depends on Heavy Copper Maces and low material prices. Check Auction House costs, use Auctionator, and avoid overpaying. With careful preparation, these WoW Forever Gold methods can help pay for mounts, recipes, and future profession upgrades.
